Optician Displays For Window and Interiors
Creating a professional and practical optician display can seem like a daunting task. There are hundreds of shop fitting companies out there who will be able to design a display, custom made to your shop. However, this can often be an expensive option. There are lots of cost effective ways to update your optician practice without breaking the bank. Recent studies show that 84.6% of patients choose their optician by the practice's pleasing appearance or through a friend's recommendation. It is up to you to ensure that your practice looks professional, up-to-date and targets your market.
There are three main design issues to consider when designing an optician display, which are:
1. What will be featured in the window space?
There are many different options that allow a practical and professional looking window display to be created. Why not use a cable display to hold promotional material such as posters and special offers? Poster displays are a cost effective option and are ideal for use in opticians as they can be easily changed and updated with graphics. Cable displays can also be used to create shelving. This is an excellent option if you want to display products such as contact lens solutions, spectacles and cases. Cables offer a clean, professional and cost effective display method.
If you are looking for something that will stop traffic, rotating displays could be for you. There are rotating display options that feature rotating posters, rotating shelving, rotating lockable cubes and rotating spectacle noses, all in one unit. However, it is possible to mix and match these display options to suit your needs. Why not show off your ranges of spectacles with the rotating spectacle noses and promote special offers with a rotating poster display?
2. What will be on the walls?
Once your customers are inside the practice it is important to maintain the same level of professionalism as is reflected in your window display. Why not reinforce your special offers or branding by continuing displaying your graphics inside using wall mounted poster pockets? It is often a good idea to have good quality prints of models wearing spectacles (perhaps use adverts sent to you by your spectacle suppliers) that are available from your practice, not only do these make nice pieces of wall art but they will also help to promote your products. These poster pockets can be wall mounted using sign supports or stuck directly onto the wall using industrial tape. Poster pockets work in exactly the same way as cable mounted poster displays, the graphic simply slots in and out of the pocket. If you have a small practice it is important to utilize the wall space as much as possible. Wall mounted spectacle noses are available in a range of different finishes and styles. The noses are often mounted onto acrylic (in a colour of your choice). This display option enables your customers to be able to browse your ranges of spectacles. Some suppliers make their optician panels in-house so are able to offer a made-to-measure service, this often includes being able to modify colours, branding and sizes. Where possible take advantage of these offers as adding your brand and having a display made to fit your practice will improve how professional it looks.
3. How will the spectacles be displayed?
As we have already mentioned, displaying your spectacles in a user friendly way is very important. The spectacles need to be easy to access to allow your customers to try them on. As mentioned previously wall mounted spectacle noses are an excellent option. Most suppliers will be able to offer a freestanding option that matches your wall mounted panels.

To create a sophisticated, professional and clean looking practice lighting can be used. A well-lit practice will attract customers day and night and will also make them feel more comfortable once they are in the practice.
