Who can develop High Blood Pressure?
May 6th, 2008**********************************************
Are you battling and worried about high blood pressure?
**********************************************
Do you feel like you are the only one?
Don’t feel that way because millions of Americans have high blood pressure.
Only a certain percentage of them actually know it.
When you see your doctor you have your blood pressure checked.
Some people think this is irrelevant because they say they
will never have high blood pressure.
Probably one of the reasons so many people do not even know they have it.
They think for whatever reason it won’t happen to them.
While it can be frustrating to monitor your blood pressure, there are things you can do to help lower it or keep it under control.
Exercise is a great way to lower and control your blood pressure.
Close to one in three American adults have high blood pressure.
While high blood pressure is very common among Americans,
African Americans tend to get it while they are young and more
often than white Americans.
Another great thing you can do to help with your High Blood pressure
and also lower your cholesterol is to cut down on the amount of
white refined sugar in your diet.
And finally, you can add fiber in the form of ground flax seed to your salads,
oat bran or oatmeal cereal in the morning.
Last but not least, get to someone who can help you get your emotions under control.
Often times when we are stressed out and have to much on our plates, we
are not managing our emotions properly.
If you wake up tired every morning and have a tough time getting out of bed,
this is a good indicator you are not living your life in the present moment.
And that most likely you are spending most of your time mad about the past or
worried about the future.
Many alternative health care practitioners have the training to coach you in sessions
and help you manage your emotions.
